Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 April 2026
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service govern your use of the AptTick platform. By registering an account, accessing assessments, or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
AptTick is intended for users aged 18 or older. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.
3. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for activity carried out through your account. You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use AptTick to break the law, interfere with platform security, access another user’s account, upload malicious code, harass others, or misuse training, assessment, or placement features. We may suspend or terminate access where misuse is suspected.
5. Assessment honesty
Assessments and learning records are intended to reflect your own readiness and progress. You agree not to submit false information, impersonate another person, or obtain help that misrepresents your actual performance.
6. Intellectual property
AptTick and its licensors retain all rights in the platform, training materials, assessments, text, graphics, branding, and related content. You may use the service for your own learning and placement journey, but not reproduce or resell protected content without written permission.
7. Payments and refunds
Paid services are processed through Paystack. By making a payment, you also accept the relevant Paystack payment terms and processing conditions. AptTick may offer refunds only where required by law or under a published refund policy that applies to the relevant product or programme.
8. QCTO accreditation scope
AptTick is a QCTO-accredited Skills Development Provider for approved delivery scopes. Accreditation does not mean every feature, partner pathway, or future service is separately accredited. Learners should rely on the qualification and programme information shown on the platform for the current accredited scope.
9. Placement disclaimer
AptTick supports readiness assessment, training, guided practice, and partner opportunity matching. We do not guarantee placement, employment, income, or acceptance by any specific partner. Placement decisions remain subject to partner requirements, learner readiness, and available opportunities.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AptTick is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the platform, delays in access, partner decisions, or third-party service interruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where fraud or misuse is suspected, or where continued access would create legal or operational risk. You may stop using the platform at any time, subject to payment and record-retention obligations.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
13. Disputes
If you have a dispute or concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be referred to the competent courts of South Africa, unless another lawful dispute process applies.
14. Contact
Contact AptTick at info@entrepreter.com or 18 Big Charles Avenue, Mooikloof, Pretoria, South Africa for terms-related queries.
